The "Red Bronze" resembles a typical bronze but has an overall reddish coloration and lacks the typical black and white barred wings. It is a bronze-based bird with a single recessive red modifying gene.

It is also known by names such as Red Auburn, Light Bronze, "washed out" Bronze, Cinnamon, and Bronze Red. Essentially, it is a bronze turkey with an additional single recessive red gene.
This variety does not breed completely true; three varieties are produced: Red Bronze, Bronze, and Bourbon Red.
