Oregon Brown

Oregon Brown

The Oregon brown has white under plumage with brown pigmentation about the edges in the body feathers. There is slight brown and white colored barring in the wing feathers which appears as a mixing of the two colors without definition. The adult pattern sort of resembles a palm pattern but is different.

Toms are a shade darker than hens. At hatch, the Oregon brown poult has a yellow-brown down color with brown stripes on its back.

This variety produces three results: Oregon brown, dark brown, and white.

Genotype: bb cgc ee nn for males and n- at the Narragansett locus for females.

Bronze based with gray, white, brown, and Narragansett.
