This is a variety that we developed and named. Their genotype is (b'b' cgcg Rr) Homozygous for a black-winged bronze base as well as gray, then heterozygous for red.
The Fall Fire has more of a reddish coloration than the Sweetgrass variety. For comparison, there is a Sweetgrass in the background in the above picture.
The more extreme red color of the Fall Fire is due to the presence of a single red gene, which the Sweetgrass does not have.
Besides the Fall Fire phenotype, they will also produce Sweetgrass and a Red Sweetgrass, which will breed true.
Approx. weights: Old Toms 30 lbs. and Old Hens 15 lbs.
