The chocolate tuxedo is homozygous for a black base with mottling and brown. (Genotype of BB cmcm ee for males and BB cmcm e- for females). The cm mottling mutation is the very same one that the painted variety carries and are also produced out of chocolate painted breedings. The chocolate tuxedo typically has a mottling effect in the major wing feathers, this sometimes can also be seen in the tail but not always. They also have very vidid blue eyes. This is a true breeding variety.
